This episode we talk about the app sweeping Russia these days, FriendFace. This little app can ID people in crowds and other public situations, letting you know who everyone is. Sounds nifty, right? Not so fast... there are some very sticky issues this app opens up. In this ep, we talk through them, including privacy, security, accountability, police action/abuse, dissent within society, celebrity, Eliot Peper's Cumulus novel (from ep269), and a whole BUNCH MORE. Recorded 5/22/2016.
